Location and neighborhood

The holiday island of Rügen is the largest German island and belongs to the holiday state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Hanseatic city of Stralsund is the gateway to the island of Rügen. The island is linked with the mainland by the Rügen Dam and the Rügen Bridge. Rügen has a length of 52 km (from South to North) and a maximum width of 1 km. On the surface area of almost 930 km ² there is much to explore and to undertake. Rügen received the award of world nature heritage in 2011 for its impressive beech trees and the famous chalk cliffs as well as the Jasmund National Park. Rügen has a total of 574 km of coast. Characteristics of Rügen are the numerous bays, peninsulas, headlands, inland lakes, lagoon and outlying islands.

Rügen is a popular holiday destination due to its diverse landscape, the typical spa architecture and the long, sandy beaches. And Breege Juliusruh is located on one of the most beautiful and longest beaches. Located between Bodden (lagoon) & sea, the place offers ideal conditions for a relaxing and exciting holiday for the whole family. You will find the typical Rügen with its wide landscapes, the coast, the sea and pure nature right here! In the Summer, Spring, Autumn, and Winter. Whether sun-worshippers, water sports enthusiasts, anglers, hikers or beach runners all of them will find their perfect program here. For visitors who want to explore the area by bike, there are well-developed bike paths and of course bikes to rent.

The famous Cape Arkona is a worthy goal. Also the other attractions of the Wittow peninsula are easily and quickly reached from Juliusruh and Breege.
